About 10/3 MC Cable:
The metal clad cable is an electrical wire designed for use in power lines not exceeding 600 Volts. The MC wire has an operational temperature rating of up to 90°C in dry locations. The cable is armored with an aluminum interlocking strip, which offers great mechanical protection. The MC aluminum armored wire also has a green insulated grounding conductor. This electrical cable is lightweight and therefore, not labor-intensive, which makes it a cost-effective option over other piped wire installations.

10/3 MC Cable Construction
Conductors:
This aluminum armored cable has a stranded or solid copper conductor. Copper is the most common material used in electrical wires and cables, which is mostly because it has amazing electrical properties and is cheaper compared to other metals. The stranding enhances its flexibility and enables it to carry more current.
Conductor Insulation:
Conductor insulation for this metal clad cable wiring is THHN/THWN: THHN stands for thermoplastic high heat-resistant nylon, which is known for versatility and durability. The double marking THHN/THWN indicates that the electrical wire is suitable for wet and dry conditions equally. Armor:
