Applications:
Branch circuit wiring is designed for use in patient care areas of hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient facilities, dental offices, clinics, and medical centers (excluding emergency, life safety, or critical care locations). It is also suitable for places of assembly, as defined by NEC Article 518, and can be installed under raised floors, above suspended ceilings, in environmental air-handling spaces, or in exposed or concealed dry locations. This wiring can be surface-mounted, fished, and used in any application requiring isolated or redundant grounding for normal or general-purpose power in healthcare settings, including patient care areas per NEC Article 517.
