[short]
2/0 Type UL MV90 EPR Insulation PVC Jacket Shielded 100% Insulation Copper Power Cable 15kV
Applications:
The mv90 copper cable is an electrical wire used for power circuits up to 15,000 Volts when fixed in open air, conduit, or duct; in applications such as chemical plants, refineries, steel mills, industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility substations, and generating stations. The National Electric Code accepts this electrical cable for uses within 90°C for continuous operation, 130°C for emergency overload conditions, and 250°C for short circuit conditions.
Also Known As:
2/0 awg medium voltage power cables, 2/0 mv power cable, 2/0 mv90 cable, 2/0 mv90, 2/0 mv 90 air compressor, 2/0 epr power cable, 2/0 awg mv power cable, 2/0 awg mv90 cable, 2/0 awg mv90, 2/0 awg mv 90 air compressor, 2/0 awg epr power cable.
Standards:
- ICEA S-93-639
- NEMA WC74
- AEIC CS8
Construction
Conductors:
The MV power cable conductor is made of copper with a semi-conducting conductor shield: soft bare annealed copper per ASTM B-3, Class B stranding per ASTM B-8 (compressed), or ASTM B-496 (compact).
Insulation:
A strong and enduring ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) is used as the insulation system. The good thing about this insulation is how friendly it is to human hands since it is a rubber, a material that tends to be soft but guarantees profound and reliable safety wires. This insulation is also environmentally friendly, it doesn’t have some toxins which can cause harm to human, animals, and plants health.
Jacket:
Reinforced insulation is provided by a PVC jacket, which is sunlight-resistant, per ICEA S-97-682 and UL Standard 1072.
Specifications:
- AWG Size: 2/0
- Number of Strands: 19
- Overall Diameter (inches): 1.20
- Net Weight (Lbs/1000FT): 855
