Application:

 Okonite LSX Transit Signal Cables are designed for use in all vital transit circuits where the security of service, low smoke features, and long life are required. These 90C rated designs can be used in wet and dry locations.

 UL 1685: Vertical-Tray Fire-Propagation and Smoke-Release Test
 NFPA 130: Standard for Fixed Guideway Transit and Passenger Rail Systems
 IEC 61034: Measurement of Smoke Density of Cables Burning Under Defined Conditions

Construction:

• Conductor: Uncoated soft copper per ASTM B3. Sizes smaller than #8 are compressed per ASTM B8. Sizes #8 and larger are compact per ASTM B496. Alternate conductor options available upon request.
 Insulation: Non-halogenated, low smoke flame retardant EPCV insulation meets or exceeds requirements of UL 44. UL listed as XHH, XHHW, XHHW-2, RHH, RHW, and RHW-2.
 Conductor Identification: Surface printed number code, i.e. “1-ONE”, with contrasting colored ink.
 Assembly: Insulated conductors are cabled with optional grounding conductor(s), low smoke, zero halogen fillers, when necessary,and an overall cable tape. When requested, a 7 mil flat copper alloy tape can be supplied.
 Overall Jacket: Non-halogenated, low smoke crosslinked polyolefin (XLPO) jacket meets or exceeds requirements of UL 1277.
